Infinity Travels Colombia

Note to Plum Guide: This is one of 6 tours that my company offered. They ranged from 3-14 days and covered a number of locations throughout Colombia. We froze our tours and website due to covid but inserted one tour itinerary for you to view here.

Below are a few samples of my social media postings from @Adrenalineaddictsmoto and @globetrotterspodcast

Viva Colombia Tour

Departure city - Cali, Colombia

Finishing city - Medellin, Colombia

  • Meet your group at one of the best hostels in Cali before taking it to the streets. Cali is known for its salsa and sense of authentic Colombian city culture which is easy to pick up on. The streets are lined with shops, art galleries, salsa clubs, public parks and more than enough street food vendors but don’t forget to check out the plazas, shopping neighborhoods and clubs to practice Spanish with the locals!

  • Located high in the coffee region of central Colombia, Salento is a small town with a lot to offer. Easily lose track of time wandering the streets, checking out the shops, grabbing brunch and playing tejo. Or you can take the extreme route with downhill mountain biking on the rocky paths that trace the mountainsides! The local coffee farms are breathtaking and are accessible via jeep in the taxi-less town! The history of the Colombian coffee industry runs deep and you can learn the process behind every cup of Colombian gold. Just outside of Salento, Valle de Cocora is a valley known for having the tallest palms in the world! Keep your face to the sky as you wander through the 200 feet/60 Meter wax palms before the Santa Rosa Hot Springs while en route to Medellin.

  • After we dry off from the hot springs and hit the road we will find ourselves in what some would consider the heart of Colombia, Medellin. The climate of Medellin is said to be perfect. The city is known as the “The City of Eternal Spring” and is home to over 130,000 different plant species, as well as the largest number of Orchids in the world, of which, only 1,542 can only be found in Colombia! Explore Comuna 13 (Community 13) which was the most dangerous neighborhood in the world and has become a peaceful community, influenced by colorful, symbolic public art and is now an amazing place for people to visit and see the change first handed. This city has a lot of history and is filled with a number of ways to experience what Medellin has to offer!

  • Today we say goodbye to our new lifelong friends BUT we still have the day for one more adventure in the beautiful pueblo of Guatape! Just two hours out of Medellin, the pueblo of Guatape is located in the vast and incredible man-made Peñol-Guatapé Reservoir. So go out with a bang and end your journey by climbing the 740 steps to the top of “The Rock” with a one of a kind view of the bubbling terrain that remains in the reservoir! Refresh with some of Colombia’s best coffee while wandering the carefully embellished architecture and cobblestone streets.

The Viva Colombia Tour ends at approximately 18:00 hrs. We highly suggest booking an extra night and fly out the next day to allow plenty of time to relax, pack and catch your flight. We can assist with post tour accommodation and transportation if need be.
